CASE STUDY
HEALTH, SAFETY & WELLBEING
INTERNATIONAL
In 2025 we’ll be launching our first safety survey to engage all staff in our Home
Safe journey.
To support this we’re relaunching our Safety Champions Network with greater
ELT oversight to ensure every level of the organisation helps build our safety
culture.
Alongside our internal efforts we expect our suppliers to be fully committed to
a governance framework that promotes safe working practices. All our suppliers
PPE –
protecting our people, investing in our communities
have policies to ensure employee safety, and a culture that does not penalise
individuals for raising potential safety concerns.
Internally, we’ve worked hard to promote a culture where we all feel supported
in discussing any health and wellbeing concerns, knowing we will be listened
to with understanding. We provide a comprehensive wellbeing programme
focused on: physical, financial, career, social, and emotional health.
The programme varies slightly across our geographic regions but includes:
•
Access to discounted gym memberships
•
Private Medical Cover for qualifying roles
•
Partnerships with Samaritans and Able Futures, offering 24/7 mental health support
•
A strong pension plan, life assurance, and financial advice available to employees
•
AXA Health’s Employee Assistance Programme
We provide a network of trained Mental Health First Aiders, and more than 80 of
our people managers have had Mental Health Awareness Training.
We have an ongoing partnership with Safpro to provide sustainable PPE
solutions which also give back to the community. Through the provision
of responsibly-sourced products, made from recycled materials we’re able
to build up CSR credits which are then reinvested into the charities and
community organisations we support.
We have focused on circularity, purchasing workwear made from recycled
materials, introduced a PPE return scheme and invested in their range of
carbon neutral gloves.
In the last year alone we have recycled the equivalent of 14,239 worth of
plastic bottles. By making more sustainable choices, we have saved the
equivalent of 4,198.78Kg of CO2.
The partnership has proved a
huge success and together we’re
driving meaningful change
while aligning with our ESG
commitments.
