Reducing Waste
Our UK Business units have had an ambitious zero
waste to landfill commitment since 2023. In 2025
we began work to align the other business units to
this target and we’re delighted to share that in 2025
Vanderkamp achieved zero waste to landfill.
from composite materials, combining metal
reinforcement with plastic compounds. The
inseparable nature of these materials makes
recycling more complex and we are yet to find
a scalable solution.
Waste Management and Resource Recovery
provision varies across our geographies. The
addition of full year data from Holland Pump
means that overall total waste to landfill
increased by 7.96% across The Group.
We continue to engage with suppliers, waste
contractors, and industry specialists to explore
alternative treatment options, improved product
design, and circular solutions that could support
higher recovery rates in the future.
However in the UK we can see that total waste
volumes decreased and the volume of waste
sent to landfill decreased from 5.28% in 2024
to 2.42% in 2025. We also achieved 100%
compliant disposal of hazardous waste
across The Group.
While we are pleased with the progress we
continue to make against our zero waste to landfill
target, one of the key challenges we still need
to overcome remains the sustainable disposal of
flexible hose pipes. These hoses are manufactured
