Life Cycle Analysis
Understanding the full life cycle impacts of our
products is one of the key challenges we’re starting
to address. Its an important part of The Workdry
Group’s approach to resource efficiency, circularity
and emissions reduction. Life Cycle Analysis
(LCA) helps us assess the environmental impacts
associated with our equipment —from raw material
sourcing and manufacture through operation,
maintenance, refurbishment and end-of-life.
During the year, we developed our first ever
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for key
product lines, providing greater transparency on
material use, and lifecycle emissions. This work will
inform product design and refurbishment initiatives
going forward. We’re seeing increased customer

demand for comparable, standardised environmental
data. The number and variety of assets we have
across the group makes EPD production a challenge.
It’s a resource intensive exercise and progress
has been slower than anticipated. However, we
are seeing increased customer and our own
decarbonisation efforts.
We have recently set up an internal LCA working
group, to focus on this important topic. Over the next
24 months we plan to grow our EPD coverage to
cover our key asset categories. This will significantly
improve our ability to respond to tender requests as
well as supporting our Net Zero aspirations.
