Empowering Our People:
The Workdry Safety Champions Network
At The Workdry Group, ensuring that everyone
goes home safely at the end of the day is our
number one priority. Safety is embedded in
our culture and reflected in our core value:
Think Safe. Work Safe. Home Safe. Our Safety
Champions Network plays an important role
in bringing this commitment to life across our
operations.
Champions are volunteers from across the
business who promote daily safety awareness,
encourage open conversations about risk, and
help ensure safety remains part of everyday
working life. Their role is not to enforce rules, but
to inspire positive behaviours, support colleagues,
and promote continuous improvement.
During 2025 the network expanded significantly,
with around 50 Safety Champion volunteers

operating across our UK, US and European businesses.
Together, they form a global network of safety
advocates embedded within our operational teams.
Safety Champions also participate in Safety Action
Group meetings, where colleagues and our Safety
Health Environment & Quality (SHEQ) team review
safety performance, discuss workplace concerns,
and identify practical improvements. Champions also
support initiatives such as the HomeSafe campaign and
the Safe to Speak programme, encouraging colleagues
to report hazards early so potential risks can be
addressed before incidents occur.
By empowering employees to lead conversations about
safety, the Safety Champions Network helps strengthen
our culture, improve communication across teams, and
ensure safety leadership exists at every level of the
organisation.
