Alongside this, we introduced a new matched
funding scheme to support employee fundraising
activity. This is already helping colleagues
amplify impact for the causes they care about
while strengthening our connection with local
communities. This approach reinforces our
commitment to embedding social value into
business-as-usual activity and supporting a
culture of participation across The Group.
We’re also launching our first ever Volunteering
Programme in the UK. From 2026 onwards all UK
employees across Selwood and Siltbuster will be
entitled to 1 volunteering day per year. This brings
us in line with our customers and other operators
in our industry. We’re working with OnHand to
ensure we follow best practise and support the
organisations which need it most.
Our customers tell us they want to see more from
us in this space and we’ve responded. Rather that
ad-hoc volunteering we hope that over the next 12
months we can be more proactive and purposeful,
to reflect our growing social value Maturity.
Our community investment approach
reflects a shift from ad-hoc giving to
a more strategic, to a more mature,
strategic and outcomes - focused model,
supporting long-term social impact.
