Creating Meaningful Social Value
The Workdry Group operates across a range of
local communities and recognises its responsibility
to contribute positively where it does business.
Social value delivery is increasingly important
to customers, particularly in regulated and
public-sector-aligned markets, and is treated
as a strategic consideration rather than a
standalone activity.
Our approach to social value goes beyond traditional
corporate social responsibility. It is embedded
into how we deliver projects, respond to customer
requirements and make day-to-day business decisions.
Social value is both a reflection of our values and a
strategic business enabler, particularly as expectations
continue to increase across public sector and regulated
infrastructure frameworks.
The Group’s approach focuses on delivering social
value that is relevant, proportionate and aligned
to its operations and customer requirements.
This includes supporting local employment,
skills development, community engagement and
other initiatives that generate meaningful social
outcomes.
During the year, we developed a new Group-wide
Social Value Strategy to help guide our approach
and ensure we’re setup for success. This work is
underpinned by a robust baseline assessment and
aligns our activity with the Social Value Portal’s
Themes, Outcomes, and Measures (TOMs)
framework, enabling consistent measurement,
reporting and continuous improvement. Now we
have established a baseline for social value and
will track performance on an annual basis and seek
external validation of our baseline in 2026.
